Starford is a legal firm with a difference, committed to helping individuals, teams and organisational cultures to flourish. I wrote and edited their web copy to reflect their remarkable brand values and innovative ways of working.
LoveKnitting is a global community for knitters everywhere, selling everything a knitter could possibly need. I wrote a variety of product descriptions for their website, including yarns, patterns, accessories and books, and FAQs for their Help Centre.
Uplift buys properties that need restoration and re-imagination, and puts in the hard work, skill and craftsmanship to turn them into contemporary homes. I researched their properties and wrote welcome packs for new owners, comprising the ‘History of the house’ and ‘Story of the street’.
Maggie’s is a pioneer in cancer care, offering practical, emotional and social support to anyone affected by cancer, at a growing number of inspirational Centres across the UK. I wrote copy including fundraising appeals, emails about their Culture Crawl event, and a series of posters to go with a fundraising brochure called ‘Support Your Maggie’s.
MTV Staying Alive Foundation empowers young people to stop the spread of HIV through innovative, grassroots projects around the world. I wrote and edited their web copy and Impact Reports from 2010 – 2015, including inspirational case studies.
The National Autistic Society provides information, support and pioneering services for autistic people. I wrote and edited web and print copy for the NAS, including the ‘Get involved’ web copy, ‘Managing Money’ website, and welcome booklet for new supporters.
The Health Foundation is committed to bringing about better health care for people in the UK. Working with agency Kindlemix, I wrote articles for the newsletter, interviewing health care experts and highlighting innovative health projects across the UK.
GWR is part of First Group, the leading transport operator in the UK. When First Great Western relaunched its website in 2011, I managed, rewrote and edited a high volume of copy, much of which remains on the newer GWR website.
The Climate Group works to accelerate climate action. I edited a series of reports on The Clean Revolution, putting them into plain English and making them clear, engaging and consistent with the brand tone of voice.
ARK is an international charity whose purpose is to transform children’s lives, through education, health and child protection projects. I researched, wrote and edited an update for donors on ARK’s ‘Expanding Horizons’ education programme.
Cancer Research UK funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. I wrote and edited their ‘Do your own fundraising’ web copy, fundraising registration process and emails, working with the online content and marketing teams.
As JustGiving’s copywriter and content editor, I developed the brand’s friendly, knowledgeable and engaging voice, contributing to its outstanding ease of use. Past copy has included the donation process, fundraising pages, FAQs and supporter emails.
I worked with the SRA to develop, create and edit a new email newsletter and a supporting WordPress website.
